Pris-ons now are corpor-a-a-tions

owned by the weal-thy few

To make a pro-fit they must fi-ill them

so here is what they do.

They prey on pe-ople with low in-come

who can’t afford bail or fees.

So poor folks be-come their slave la-a-bor

and the jail-ers throw away the keys.

* If your skin’s not lily white

and mon-ey is too tight

the law is something that you right-ly fear.

* The sys-tem here is stacked

a-gainst you…. It’s a fact.

So stand and shout out loud and clear!

You’re Brown and work-ing for a pit-tance

just to keep your fam‘ly fed.

ICE is al-ways right be-hind you

You can-not get a-head.

You’re taxed and have no health in-sur-ance

or oth-er ben-e-fits.

Too bad you’re not a cor-por-a-a-tion

There’s help if you are rich.

* You are just too Brown

and your wealth is too far down

to qual-ify for an-y help at a-a-all.

* If you were rich and White

they’d help with all their might.

They’d BE there at your EV‘-ry beck & call.

No more pro-fiteering pri-i-sons!

To fight crime fund public schools!

No more prey-ing on the po-or folks!

No more corp‘rate rule!

We de-mand a true de-moc-ra-cy

that’s not just for the lucky few!

We won’t take it any long-er!

THESE DE-MANDS ARE PAST DUE!
