Immigration – I’ve been thinking

What a grand world this would be

If we all were treated fairly –

Honest workers, you and me.

Separating fam’ly members.
We know that just is not right.
Fam’lies need to stay together.
When will we all see the light?

Parents are all working tough jobs,
Jobs that WE don’t want to do.
Then it’s said that jobs are stolen
Don’t believe it – it’s not true!

Snatch up people without warning,
Not one phone call, disappeared.
Send them to a cruel county
Where their voices can’t be heard.

Of the worst thing we can do
Let’s get rid of racist thinking
Lots of us were immigrants, too!
