Blackhawks

Tune: Blackbird

Government & Politics Human & Civil Rights

Blackhawks landed in the dead of night,
Ba-attered down the doors, broke window panes,
Used flash grenades,
Right there in Chicago on a cold October night.

Blackhawks landed in the dead of night,
Government trampled on our legal rights,
Dragged everyone
Outside, even naked ones, while ICE ransacked their homes.

Children cried,
Terrified,
Masked men with guns brought them out zip-tied.

Violating Fourth Amendment rights
We must oppose this with all our might
All our lives
We lived in a better place ‘til MAGA Don arrived

Children pray,
“Not today,
Don’t let them drag my fam’ly away.”

Grannies say,
No f-ing way,
Will we be silent in these evil days.
