This is a recent revision of the song “America For the People” which was written for voting rights and the “For the People Act.” It has now been updated to apply to the MAGA attacks on our democracy.

Democracy is under siege:
the freedoms we hold dear
imperiled by Republicans
through lies and hate and fear

the right-wing plans are grim
Unite and fight for all our rights!

They’re racists and misogynists
They foster violence
they’re tearing down our nation, and
it’s getting pretty tense
